Austin Gunn Says His Dad Would Tell Him To Stop Yelling At Everyone In Promos

Billy Gunn has been a coach and producer at AEW since the company started in 2019, but he’s been coaching his sons Austin Gunn & Colten Gunn for much longer.

Many wrestlers have said that Billy will always tell you the truth and give you the feedback that you need.

Speaking to Tony Schiavone and Conrad Thompson on What Happened When, Austin & Colten were asked for a pet peeve of Billy’s when it came to training.

“I think that list might be longer than something he likes,” said Colten.

Austin said, “I’ve been better at it, but when I used to get on the microphone and have promo time, he would say, ‘Stop yelling at everybody.’ I was like, ‘That’s just my voice. I’m getting hype. I’m getting energized.’ He would say, ‘No, you have to take them here. Trust me, they can hear you. You have a microphone.’ I had problems with my tone, and he didn’t like that, that I would just yell at people all the time during promos. Other than that, I’m just a perfect child, aren’t I?”

The Gunns are signed to AEW and part of the Bang Bang Gang.

Elsewhere during the interview, Austin revealed when he pooped his pants in the ring. You can find his full comments here.
