Tony Schiavone Says There’s ‘Some Intrigue’ In Chris Jericho Potentially Mentoring Nick Wayne

Tony Schiavone believes that there is ‘some intrigue’ in Chris Jericho potentially mentoring Nick Wayne in AEW.

On tonight’s edition of AEW Dynamite, Chris Jericho and Nick Wayne will meet in a singles match, with Wayne recently cutting a promo ahead of the bout in which he invited Jericho to ‘teach him a thing or two’ in their upcoming bout.

While speaking to Coast Live in a new interview, Tony Schiavone would speak about the upcoming bout between Jericho and Wayne, noting there’s some ‘intrigue’ about Jericho potentially mentoring Wayne.

“Okay, I’m going to be watching for Chris Jericho has done a lot of things. I mentioned him before, and he’s now going up against one of the real young stars in AEW who won his first championship at age 19, and that’s Nick Wayne, and I’m kind of surprised if their match tomorrow is going to lead to a feud, or lead to maybe Chris Jericho being his mentor. So I think there’s some intrigue into that.”

Wayne has previously been mentored in All Elite Wrestling by both Darby Allin and Christian Cage, but has been a solo act as of late.
