‘Speedball’ Mike Bailey Speaks About Tony Khan’s Feedback, Says Khan Knows His Roster’s Strengths

Mike Bailey states that Tony Khan knows what works and what doesn’t work for his talents.

The latest guest to appear on the Battleground Podcast was ‘Speedball’ Mike Bailey. Bailey has been with All Elite Wrestling since early 2025.

He went on to speak about the feedback he receives from AEW President Tony Khan. He then brought up Khan trusting him to go 20 minutes with AEW Continental Champion Jon Moxley.

“It’s not really a conversation that we’ve had, right? It’s specifically — or methodologically — what he wants to see from his people in the ring but he has been very encouraging and he’s always there; he’s always at Gorilla, and I always get match feedback from him and while it’s not incredibly specific, it does let me know exactly what I need to do in my matches going forward… I think he’s extremely smart about knowing his people’s strengths and he has put me in a lot of fantastic situations and that just lets me know that he sees me as someone who is able to go into those big matches, and for example, I know that the match I had against Jon Moxley on Collision is a match that Tony (Khan) just wouldn’t put anyone else in — going 20 minutes with Jon Moxley is a pretty big deal, and that just shows a lot of faith and I really appreciate that.”

Bailey was last in action on the 9/19 episode of Collision, and he scored a win over Wheeler Yuta.
