Fightful’s Luis Pulido interviewed Guerrero Maya Jr. As the conversation went on, Maya Jr. talked about being on commentary for the three-way match involving Blue Panther, Rey Pegasus, and Brillante Jr.
He also previewed his match against Rey Pegasus at Noche de Campeones.
“It was a great opportunity for me to analyze the move sets, the strengths, and weaknesses of the potential candidates. In reality, Guerrero Maya is seeking a direct match-up with Blue Panther because he’s a master, and a true institution in professional wrestling, but I think facing Rey Pegasus or Brillante Jr. would also be an opportunity to see how they view professional wrestling today. The fans have given them their vote of confidence, but they must also prove why they earned it. I look forward to seeing who will be the official challenger. If the fans have decided, they have to prove why they were entrusted with that confidence and show that they are worthy contenders for the championship.”
