LA Knight speaks about Roman Reigns defending his WWE World Title by himself, noting that it could be the OTC’s downfall.
Since capturing the WWE World Championship at WrestleMania earlier this year, Reigns has taken a different route to defending his championship than his previous Universal title reign, largely retaining his title without assistance from the rest of The Bloodline. For his next challenger, this is believed to be what his downfall will be.
While speaking to Sporf’s James Sweetnam in a new interview, LA Knight spoke about what it would mean to finally defeat Roman Reigns at Money In The Bank.
“Man, I mean… You just said it right there, what I’ve always deserved. So at this point, you know what, we’ve been three years in the running for this whole thing, and it’s been three years since Roman and I went one on one. And hopefully we’ll see if things come out a little different this time. But if that moment happens to finally come to fruition now at this point, I’ll say it’s long overdue. We’ll see what happens.”
Knight continued, noting that Roman trying to defend his title without The Bloodline’s help will probably be his downfall.
“Look, he’s proven himself this year to be able to do things on his own. If he can keep that up, that’ll probably be his downfall.”
