Paramount-WDB Merger Expected To Close On 10/6, Ynon Kreiz Set For Co-CEO Role

A big update has surfaced on the Paramount/Warner Bros Discovery merger.
On Wednesday, September 30, U.S. District Judge Araceli Martínez-Olguín approved the settlement that Paramount recently reached with twelve states over their pending merger with Warner Brothers Discovery.
With this, Variety reports that Paramount has now set Tuesday, October 6 as their tentative closing date for the deal, which was first announced in February.
Additionally, the outlet also notes that Ynon Kreiz will join Paramount on October 5 to serve as a co-CEO alongside David Ellison. Kreiz will oversee the company’s daily operations and combined businesses while Ellison will lead strategy, creative, and technology functions.
Before taking his new job alongside Ellison, Ynon Kreiz served as the CEO of Mattel for eight and a half years.
Tony Khan recently commented on the merger, saying that he will do whatever he can to make AEW fit in any corporate structure. Check out his full comments by clicking here.
