Sheamus Is Officially A Free Agent
Details on the current status of Sheamus.
Fightful Select has confirmed that former WWE Champion Sheamus is now officially a free agent.
On July 5, Fightful Select reported that he was set to depart WWE after his contract expired. He was later moved to the alumni section on the WWE website, seemingly confirming his departure.
On July 10, he changed his name on socials to reflect his real name, Stephen Farrelly, and posted a goodbye to WWE.
“The Celtic Warrior” underwent shoulder surgery in December. He last wrestled on the November 17 episode of WWE Raw, teaming with John Cena and Rey Mysterio to defeat The Judgment Day (Dominik Mysterio, Finn Balor & JD McDonagh). He has been with the company since 2006 and has won the WWE Title, World Heavyweight Title, United States Title, Raw and SmackDown Tag Team Titles, Royal Rumble, Money in the Bank, and King of the Ring.
