Mick Foley recalls telling his daughter Noelle that if she were to wrestle a match, it should be with Willow Nightingale.
Early on in Willow’s professional wrestling career, she would train with Mick’s daughter Noelle during the Holy Foley series. However, Noelle would not step into a ring for a bout following her training, despite her father wanting her to face off with Nightingale.
While speaking during the Mick and Kenny show with Willow Nightingale on the show, Mick Foley would speak about Willow training with Willow.
“You became a friend for life with the Foley family. For those listening out there, of course, in some way, all of us are friends who are part of this family. But Willow is beloved in the Foley family because you helped Noelle out so much in the training for Holy Foley, and I think I’ve told you this before, when it was clear that Noelle’s body wasn’t going to stand up to the day in and day out. Obviously, you’ve got a broken hand, right? She was so good to my daughter, and I told Noelle, I think I’ve told you this before, I said, ‘Noelle, if you have one match, it should be with Willow as a way of thanking her’ for everything you did. For me to see you get first signed, extraordinarily happy, and then to see the level of success you’ve had, incredible.”
Thekla recently noted that she and Willow could feud forever. You can read more about that here.
