David Finlay: I’m Still Adjusting To TV Wrestling

David Finlay says he’s still getting adjusted to things.

The Dogs member David Finlay has been with All Elite Wrestling since 2026. He spent the last decade of his career with New Japan Pro-Wrestling.

While guest-appearing on Talk Is Jericho, Finlay stated that he’s still adjusting to TV wrestling.

“Yeah, yeah,” Finlay responded when asked if he’s still learning to adjust to the TV cameras/hard camera. “I’m still adjusting, I feel like. I had a little bit of experience with working for companies in the States, like just a tiny bit so it wasn’t completely foreign to me but, in New Japan, it’s like, do the match and they’ll catch you. If you’re in the main event in New Japan, it’s like, yeah, however long you wanna go, which is cool. Or if you get told a time, it’s usually a range. ‘Like, from here to here,’ whatever, and as long as it’s good, you can’t go over. You never get in trouble for it. Whereas here, it’s like, more riding on it. We’re on a tight schedule. You gotta be more precise, which is a skill in itself. I like that, of like, alright, we might have to call an audible here or we might have to adjust. I enjoy that. Thinking on my feet… Alright, how good am I really?”

Finlay was last in action in late September as part of the AEW All Out: Tailgate Brawl.
