Chris Jericho Reflects On Facing Hiroshi Tanahashi At NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 14, Says He Might Like It More Than Match Against Kenny Omega At Tokyo Dome

Chris Jericho says he might like that match more than the Kenny Omega bout.
It was back in 2020 that New Japan Pro-Wrestling presented the two-night Wrestle Kingdom 14 special at the Tokyo Dome.
Night two saw Hiroshi Tanahashi going one-on-one with then-AEW World Champion Chris Jericho. Looking back on that match, Jericho said on his Talk Is Jericho podcast that he might like that bout more than the match he had against Kenny Omega two years prior at the Tokyo Dome.
“The three matches I had at the Tokyo Dome pre-pandemic — actually, the three matches — well, in a row — the one with Kenny’s the famous (match). The one I had with (Hiroshi) Tanahashi, I might even like it better. He was so good and this is messed-up knees Tana. But he was just — wow, was he ever a great worker.”
Jericho’s next bout outside of North America is taking place on October 6th when he faces Nick Wayne at AEW Grand Slam France.
