Taniguchi has not wrestled since April 2026. He stated during the press conference that the wear and tear on his body became noticeable at the end of 2025. He reiterated that he has osteoarthritis in both of his ankles and could no longer tolerate it. It was around July or August that he made the decision to step away from the ring.
