Wren Sinclair Disguises Herself As AAA’s Lady Shani, Earns NXT Women’s Title Shot At Halloween Havoc
Wren Sinclair sneaks her way into a title match.
Closing out the October 6th edition of WWE NXT on The CW was a Battle Royal to determine who would challenge Kelani Jordan for the NXT Women’s Championship at Halloween Havoc on October 31st.
TNA Knockouts Television Champion M by Elegance almost accidentally eliminated her tag team partner, Heather by Elegance. Heather was positioned on the ring apron, and then Thea Hail pushed M into her, knocking her off, and Hail then eliminated M.
Ivy Nile was put out of the match by Lizzy Rain.
Indi Hartwell eliminated TNA Knockouts World Champion Xia Brookside. Brookside then pulled Hartwell over the top rope, which ended Hartwell’s time in the match. Hartwell and Brookside are set to clash for the Knockouts World Title at Bound For Glory.
The presumed final four in the Battle Royal were Kiana James, Lizzy Rain, La Catalina, and Kali Armstrong. The order of eliminations went:
- Armstrong eliminates Catalina
- Armstrong eliminates James
- Armstrong eliminates Rain
Armstrong thought she won the match, but earlier in the bout, a frustrated Reina Volcan was not pleased about being thrown out, so she grabbed hold of AAA’s Lady Shani and powerslammed her. Shani was never eliminated, as she was pulled underneath the bottom rope.
Shani climbed back into the ring and eliminated Armstrong to win the match. It was then revealed that Wren Sinclair was wearing Shani’s gear. Sinclair is currently suspended from NXT, and that was put into effect by General Manager Robert Stone.
