2 Cold Scorpio Sentenced

2 Cold Scorpio (real name Charles Scaggs) has been sentenced to six years in prison after pleading guilty on charges of assault – second degree as well as armed criminal action.

The court ruled that Scorpio has an immediate chance to earn probation after completing an intensive 120-day program.

“Instead of serving the entire sentence, a defendant can be sent to a specific DOC facility to complete an intensive, highly structured, boot-camp-style program designed to deliver a “shock” to the offender. Upon completion of the 120 days, the Department of Corrections submits a report and recommendation to the court regarding the defendant’s conduct and progress. If successful, the court can grant probation, releasing Scaggs from prison to serve the remainder of his six-year term under supervision in the community. If unsuccessful, the judge can deny probation, which would require Scaggs to serve out the remainder of the full six-year prison sentence.”

He was arrested in June 2024 after getting into a fight with a man during an incident at the Love’s Travel Stop, where he was working as a security guard.

According to Scorpio, he was acting in self-defense. He claimed to authorities he was working as a security guard at the store and asked the man to not smoke inside. He claimed the man became upset and said, “F you the f*** you gonna do?” before threatening him. The victim claimed Scorpio was the aggressor.
