Deonna Purrazzo Explains The Most Difficult Part Of Having To Step Away From The Ring Due To Her ROH Injury

Deonna Purrazzo reflects on her injury this year.

Earlier in June, Deonna Purrazzo suffered an injury during an ROH taping when she faced Steph De Lander. She eventually got medically cleared to return to the ring, and faced De Lander again at the Death Before Dishonor event.

While speaking with The Ledgera magazine, Purrazzo was asked about the most difficult part of having to step away from the ring after her injury.

“Getting injured in July was most difficult but I felt like for the first time in my time in ROH/AEW, I was firing on all cylinders. I was doing my best work and the fans were recognizing that. Having that momentum suddenly taken away from me was probably the hardest part.”

Purrazzo got injured on a floor spot, and she said she’ll continue to keep her feet planted on the ground as much as possible in the future.

“Being a technical wrestler, I am not much of a high flier or risk taker anyway. So, I think moving forward I will continue to keep my feet planted on the ground as much as possible!”

Elsewhere in the interview, Purrazzo talked about her ROH Women’s Pure Championship reign. Fans can read her full comments here.
