Steve Maclin Suffered A Broken Fibula Ten Weeks Before Match With Adam Copeland

Steve Maclin competed against Adam Copeland in the main event of MLP Northern Rising on October 3.
The bout was a dream match for Maclin, who grew up using Copeland’s WWE figure to portray himself.
Ten weeks prior to the match, Maclin suffered a broken fibula in a match against Isaiah Broner at NCG Drive To Glory. Maclin hit a choke backbreaker onto his knee, but something went wrong. The match was stopped and Maclin was checked on by paramedics.
He thought he initially just rolled his ankle, and then said he just fractured his ankle, but it turned out to be a broken fibula.
Maclin worked over the course of ten weeks to rehab to prepare for his match against Copeland.
