Rhodes has had a pair of substantial roles in recent years in the world of acting, appearing in The Naked Gun last year before being cast as Guile in Street Fighter, which is coming out later this week. Now, Rhodes has addressed his future in acting.
While speaking to ExtraTV in a new interview, Cody Rhodes was asked about his future in acting, with Rhodes noting that this will be a good year for ‘announcements and for doing more.’
“I think you will, and I think this is going to be a good year for announcements and a good year for doing more. I’d hope to stay Guile forever, but the bug, and I’ve been talking about this while I was on set, Noah Centineo screened Union County for me, and I was blown away by the depth they were going, the questions they were asking, and I’d love to take a swing, take a challenge, because without films and things like this, I’m not going to get any good at it. So I want to flex that muscle.”
Elsewhere in the same interview, Cody spoke about gaming in the WWE locker room. You can read more about that here.
