Skadi Discusses Tag Team With Kira In CMLL
Skadi comments on her tag team with Kira.
In March 2024, Skadi and Kira won the CMLL Mexican National Women’s Tag Team Championship, defeating Las Chicas Indomables (La Jarochita & Lluvia). The duo would go on to keep the belt for 931 days before dropping it to Las Valientitas (Hera & Olympia) at CMLL Noche De Campeones 2026.
Speaking with Fightful’s Luis Pulido recently, Skadi discussed this partnership.
“With Kira, it was super organic. We never planned it; we never set out to do it. We didn’t know her, but it was something that came out of a match. I think we had great chemistry in just one match, and the rest of the story unfolded from there. I think we’ve been through some great matches now, both together and separately. I think that’s what defines us as wrestlers together; we’ve made a team that hasn’t been seen in many years. We’ve done things in women’s wrestling that hadn’t been seen before, and I think it’s also important for the younger generations to see that women can have main-event matches, that we can put on great matches, and that, if they hold on to this dream just as Kira and Skadi have done, they can succeed too. We’re still together; we lost the national championships, but we’re not giving up. We’re going for the world championships and also for international exposure, so that people all over the world can see us. I think the world deserves to see Kira and Skadi in action.”
Elsewhere in the interview, she commented on following in the footsteps of her mother. Fans can read her full comments here.
