At WrestleDream, Speedball would compete in their first pay-per-view main event, competing in the Clockwork Carnage bout. Speedball would come up short, being eliminated before the second phase of the bout.

While speaking on their AEW WrestleDream vlog, Speedball Mike Bailey noted that they are seriously doubting themselves following the events of the pay-per-view.

“After last night, right, this is one of those moments where I’m seriously doubting myself. Because obviously what I want to be is the best professional wrestler in the world. I want to be the AEW world champion, and that’s not happening yet however yet however I fucking love pro wrestling. I love all of you. I’m going to keep doing what I do. I’m going to keep working hard. I’m going to keep trying. I’m going to keep living my passion, and it’s not going to be easy. But it’s going to be much better being surrounded and supported by people who love me than if I were on my own.”
