David Finlay: AEW Money Is Way Better Than NJPW Money

In March 2026, David Finlay and Clark Connors were officially announced as being All Elite.

Connors had been competing on AEW TV since the beginning of the year alongside Gabe Kidd, but Finlay made his debut in March.

Appearing on What Happened When with Tony Schiavone, Connors and Finlay were asked how they are enjoying their time in AEW.

“I like it. I get to kick ass and be with my boys. Different city, twice a week. What’s not to like? I get to mess with you [Schiavone] on TV and make your life miserable. Life is good. Nothing to really complain about,” said Finlay.

Connors stated, “The money. I like the money, too. A lot of it.”

Finlay added, “Yeah, AEW money is way better than New Japan money.”

David Finlay previously stated that NJPW offered him a salaried deal when AEW launched.
