Over the years, many wrestlers have transitioned from another sport, including several former football players including the likes of Roman Reigns and more. In recent years, NIL athletes have been signed by the company, training them from the ground up, including Kam Hendrix, who is currently a member of the NXT roster and a former football player in his own right.

While speaking to Pac-12 in a new interview, Kam Hendrix was asked about his transition from football to pro wrestling, noting that there was ‘not that much of a transition’ and he has ‘always been a superstar.’

“I mean, there’s not that much of a transition. I’ve always been a superstar I’ve been always Showtime so like when I go in I step up in that and that plate, you know, I gotta show out. So it’s the same thing as football. It’s the same thing wrestling next week.”

Hendrix has repeatedly addressed his wife Maxxine Dupri’s on screen pairing with Austin Theory. You can read more about that here.
