Preston Vance Looks Back On Heel Turn, Says It Was Brodie Lee Jr’s Idea To Throw Mask At His Feet

Brodie Lee Jr.’s involvement in Preston Vance’s heel turn.

It was on a November 2022 episode of AEW Rampage that Preston Vance left the Dark Order to join La Facción Ingobernable.

As Vance was walking up the entrance ramp, he crossed paths with Brodie Lee Jr. Vance took his ’10’ Dark Order mask and threw it at the feet of Brodie.

Vance looked back on that during his appearance on The Certified Mark Show and shared that the run-in with Brodie was Brodie’s idea.

“‘What’s the best way to do this?’ You have to involve Little Brodie and he wanted to be involved, and the whole thing of me taking the mask and throwing it at his feet was his idea. Little Brodie’s idea, and I’m like, ‘Are you sure?’ He’s like, ‘Yeah,’ and I’m like, ‘Alright.’ It was kind of like a coming out moment for me in wrestling. It felt like a big deal, and then Twitter really blew up on it… The whole throwing the mask at the feet was Little Brodie’s idea so I always think — because I get asked that all the time. ‘I can’t believe you would do that,’ and I’m like, ‘No, it was literally his idea.’”

Present day, Vance is currently engaged in a storyline in ROH where he is trying to get back into the Dark Order, but John Silver will not approve.
