Charlie Dempsey Speaks Candidly About His Transition From No Quarter Catch Crew To BirthRight In WWE NXT

Charlie Dempsey spoke about that switch.

Guest appearing on Busted Open was Charlie Dempsey. The BirthRight faction member opened up about the transition he made from No Quarter Catch Crew to BirthRight.

Looking back at N.Q.C.C., which initially started with himself, Drew Gulak and Bobby Steveson, Dempsey stated that he felt the group really took off once Myles Borne, Tavion Heights and Wren Sinclair joined.

“So, starting with No Quarter Catch Crew, it was something I was thrown into with Drew Gulak at the time. It was what it was. It really got off its feet I feel like when Tavion Heights, Myles Borne, Wren Sinclair all joined it, and I felt like we had a real nice cohesiveness to us. We all got on. It was great, and then, obviously with wrestling, nothing can last forever. So time goes on. It starts — not going stale — there’s different options out there, and then obviously from there, I never relied on who my father was before. I never even brought up who my father was. I always wanted to make my own way. But I feel like I’d done that enough, and I made my own name for myself, and then it got to the point where, like, I can start telling people who my dad is, which everyone already knew. I can start relying on his name and having more people see me because of who my dad is. We got tons of people who have fathers who were in the business. Again, Arianna (Grace), Lexis (King), Uriah (Connors). Stacks doesn’t but, you know, married into the group, and for all of us to come together in a group, it made sense to because why wouldn’t we?”

Dempsey represented BirthRight at NXT Halloween Havoc when he faced Zilla Fatu in a Falls Count Anywhere match. Despite Dempsey having his faction assist him, he still lost the bout to Fatu.
