Yota Tsuji Recalls Telling Kenny Omega That He’ll Beat Him At The Tokyo Dome Someday Two Years Ago
Yota Tsuji spoke his Wrestle Kingdom 21 match into existence.
It was recently announced that Tsuji will defend his IWGP Heavyweight Championship against Kenny Omega at Wrestle Kingdom 21 in January. As it turns out, ‘Gene Blast’ predicted this match two years ago at Tokyo Game Show.
“Actually, two years ago at the Tokyo Game Show—where I’d been invited by an acquaintance—I ran into Kenny by chance. After saying hello, I felt I had to say something, so I told him, ‘Someday, I’m going to beat you at the Tokyo Dome.’ At the time, Kenny had a reaction like, ‘Huh?’” Yota Tsuji recalled to Tokyo Sports in a new interview.
