Alberto El Patron isn't going back to WWE, but does say a Paige return is imminent.
He spoke to TMZ Sports while doing publicity for an upcoming Combate Americas event, which you can see a clip of below:
When asked if he had any interest in returning to WWE, he made it clear that he did not.
"I left that place and I don't have any interest in coming back" El Patron said. "We have fun in this place [Combate Americas] 24/7.I'm in the place where I want to be". He then mentioned that he had a interest in returning to MMA, but it would be for Combate Americas.
When asked if Paige would be making a WWE return, he said that, in fact, she would be returning pretty soon.
"She's in Orlando at the moment" El Patron stated. "She's been there for the last six weeks. She's probably days...weeks...probably days away from going back to WWE."
Paige has been out of action since a neck injury last June. She's posted photos training at the WWE Performance Center in preparation for a return. Alberto El Patron left the promotion in September of 2016 following a failed wellness test. He's since wrestled for Impact Wrestling but is currently suspended for an airport incident between he and Paige a few months ago.
