Alexa Bliss Loves Being A Heel: 'It's So Much Easier To Get People To Hate You Than To Like You'

Alexa Bliss's story is a unique one.  She never even had a match at an NXT Takeover, and yet she now finds herself the first woman ever to be champion of both SmackDown and RAW. And she's not taking it for granted.

“I didn’t get a lot of time in NXT to really develop in the ring or anything like that; I never had a ‘Takeover’ match; I never had a title,” Bliss told The Weekender. And she's happy to have the opportunity to take on Bayley in a proper feud. “I always said I could not wait to get into a program with Bayley because she gave me some of the best matches I ever had in NXT.”

NXT is the place where Bliss honed her heeling skills, skills that have gotten her over with main roster fans as the top villainess in WWE. And Bliss loves being bad.

“It’s so much easier to get people to hate you than to like you, and I kind of like to play with that a little bit,” Bliss said. “Not caring what the fans think and just kind of wanting them to hate me, even though I do kind of care what they think; it’s just so fun to portray this mean person, just to see how people react to it. It’s a lot of fun.”

Alexa Bliss takes on Bayley in a Kendo Stick on a Pole match for the RAW Women's Championship this Sunday at Extreme Rules. Fightful will have full live coverage and a post-show podcast.
