They've been feuding on television for most of the year, but Alexa Bliss and Nia Jax are hardly "frenemies" in real life.
Bliss recently spoke to Channel Guide Magazine about the WWE/Susan G. Komen partnership throughout the month of October, as well as her friendship with Nia Jax. Their friendship started right at the very start of their WWE careers at their NXT tryout.
“We have the talent help out with the tryouts to make sure everything goes smoothly, or if someone who is doing the try out needs help” Bliss said. “I remember during the talent lunch break, Nia comes up to me as I’m doing cardio on the treadmill. She just comes up to me and starts talking to me like she has never met a stranger in her life. We instantly clicked and have been best friends ever since.”
That real life friendship will parlay into storylines for the next season of Total Divas, with both Bliss and Jax joining the show.
“It is a completely different platform and audience, which is awesome,” Bliss said. “It’s such a great opportunity. I’m hoping it’s the next step for me and opens opportunities for people who don’t watch WWE to cross over and watch WWE and bring that audience into what we do and into our world.”
In storyline, Alexa Bliss and Nia Jax have been feuding off and on for most of the summer. Last month, Nia Jax began a feud with Bliss, culminating with a win in a singles match. Following No Mercy, however, the two have been aligned with one another once again.
