'American Ninja Warrior' Star Gets WWE Performance Center Tryout

'American Ninja Warrior' sensation Kacy Catanzaro, who became the first woman ever to complete a city finals course in Dallas in 2014, had a tryout at the Performance Center recently. She spoke to the WWE about the qualities she has that might help her become successful in the WWE.

"I think a lot of the things from my background, from gymnastics to obstacle course racing - the physical and the mental, the speed, agility, strength, all of that - plus being able to mentally prepare for that and go in front of a lot of people and be on point that second that you have to... I feel that all of that could be a really big advantage for me coming into the WWE," Catanzaro said.

But she's the first to admit, the Performance Center isn't like anything she's done before, and it's kicking her butt a little bit. "I've only been here for two days, and it's definitely a lot different than you'd think, you know when people see something on TV, they think that it just looks this way, and they have no idea what it's actually like. And coming in, I knew it was going to be really challenging, and I'm definitely hurting," she said with a smile, before adding, "but it's a good kinda sore, excited hurt."

Catanzaro isn't just some fly-by-night tryout, either. She's a true fan, and she loves what she's seeing with the Women's Revolution in the WWE. "

I'm definitely very passionate about this women's movement that's happening, in a lot of sports, it seems ... The same thing's been happening in the WWE the last few years, the women have really not just been kinda faces there, they've come up and they've been Superstars who can keep up wth the men, and they're bad-ass and they're out there, and I really love that. So being able to get a chance to come to the Performance Center and see a little bit into that world is really exciting."

If she has what it takes to make it to the main roster one day, WWE has a possible mainstream crossover star on their hands. The video of her history making run at the Dallas finals of 'American Ninja Warrior' has almost 13 and a half million views on YouTube. You can watch it below.
