Anderson Silva Wants Fans To Return UFC 212 Tickets, Dana White Not Happy

Former UFC Middleweight Champion Anderson Silva is off the UFC 212 card and is currently involved in a rocky relationship with the promotion he has called home for awhile now.

Silva recently posted a short video of himself on Instagram:

In the comments section of that video, a fan asked Silva about returning tickets for the UFC 212 card and here was the Brazilian legends response:

“You have every right to get your ticket money back. In fact, everyone who's a fan of mine should do the same.”

Upon hearing of the comments from the former middleweight champion, the UFC President in Dana White had a response of his own.

“That’s crazy talk. That’s a pretty horrible thing to do to the rest of the fighters that are on the card in Brazil,” he said at a UFC 211 media scrum. “Did I pull the Kelvin Gastelum fight? Did I make this fight not happen? It had nothing to do with us. He’s acting like a maniac. Holloway is on a 10-fight win streak; he’s finally getting the opportunity at the title. Jose Aldo’s gonna get the chance to fight and beat Holloway. And they’re all gonna get paid. Who is Anderson Silva to say, ‘Bring your tickets back and don’t watch the rest of the fighters on the card.’ That’s dirty.”

Dana White recently stated that he wants to have a meeting with his embattled middleweight star, the two will have another topic to discuss now.

UFC 212 takes place on Saturday, June 3 from the HSBC Arena in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil with Jose Aldo and Max Holloway headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, with a post-show podcast to follow.
