Anthony Joshua Wants To Be On McGregor vs. Mayweather Undercard

Unified world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua said he would love to be a part of the undercard in a potential Conor McGregor vs. Floyd Mayweather fight.

Joshua met with Mayweather when Mayweather was in England for the Gervonta Davis vs. Liam Walsh fight and Joshua told iFL TV that he wants to be a part of the spectacle that the potential superfight could bring.

"Yeah, why not? It's big," Joshua said. "That's legendary shit. That fight will go down in history. It will be part of history."

Joshua currently is reigning over boxing's heavyweight division after knocking out Wladimir Klitschko in April. Joshua's immediate fight future is not certain, but there is the likelihood that the two would face off again as the contract signed by both Joshua and Klitschko is a two-fight contract.

The current world heavyweight champion isn't the first boxer that was recently linked to being a part of the McGregor vs. Mayweather undercard. Mayweather said Davis, the current IBF junior lightweight world champion, and former super middleweight world champion Badou Jack, boxers who are signed to Mayweather Promotions, deserve to be on the undercard.

While the superfight is not official, it does appear that it may get fully signed since McGregor signed his side of the deal and UFC President Dana White said he is focusing on getting Mayweather to sign on the dotted line as well.
