Bantamweight Clash Set For UFC Fight Night 109

A bantamweight division encounter has been added to the upcoming UFC Fight Night 109 card as #13 Pedro Munhoz is competing against Damian Stasiak.

Munhoz (13-2-0-1NC) will enter the fight while riding a two fight winning streak, with those victories coming over the duo of Justin Scoggins and Russell Doane. Munhoz is a former Resurrection Fighting Alliance Bantamweight Champion and the fighter defeated UFC veteran Jeff Curran to win the gold at RFA 9. Munhoz will be competing in his fifth straight “Fight Night” event during his time in the UFC, with a record of 2-2-0 in past “Fight Night” bouts.

Stasiak (10-3-0) will also be coming into this fight riding a two fight winning streak, those wins have come over both Filipe Pejic and Davey Grant. Stasiak won the Extreme Fight Cage Bantamweight Tournament in 2014, defeating Lukasz Grochowski by unanimous decision in the finals. Stasiak has only suffered three losses as a professional MMA fighter, and all three of those losses came by way of decision.

UFC Fight Night 109 takes place on Saturday, May 28 from the Ericsson Globe in Stockholm, Sweden with Alexander Gustafsson and Glover Teixeira headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event.
