Alcantara (34-8-0-1NC) has won two of his last three under the UFC banner. Those two wins came over Brad Pickett and Luke Sanders. Alcantara is going to be competing for the third time this year, which is the most active he has been in a single year since 2014. Alcantara is also competing on a Fight Night card for the first time in two years, with UFC Fight Night 61 in February of 2015 being the last time he competed on such a card.

Perez (18-6-1) has won four of six during his UFC tenure, with that last win coming over Andre Soukhamthath at UFC Fight Night Mexico City. Perez also competed on the UFC Ultimate Fighter Latin America 1, making it to the semi-finals before an injury knocked him off the reality show. Perez hasn’t suffered a defeat in well over two years, with that last defeat coming to Patrick Williams at UFC 188.

UFC Fight Night Fresno takes place on Saturday, December 9 from the Save Mart Center in Fresno, California with Cub Swanson and Brian Ortega headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on Fox Sports 1.
