Battle Royal Set For July 4 Smackdown Live

Do you want fireworks!?!? They're coming on the July 4 Smackdown.

In addition to the return of "Free Agent" John Cena, WWE Smackdown General Manager Daniel Bryan announced a major match for the Independence Day edition of Smackdown Live: a top contender's battle royal. The announcement was made on this week's episode of WWE Smackdown Live.

The winner of the aforementioned battle royal will go on to face WWE United States Champion Kevin Owens for the title at WWE Battleground. Owens' rival AJ Styles has already been confirmed for the match. 

WWE Battleground takes place July 23 from the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
