Becky Lynch Wants A SmackDown Women's Title

Since the WWE Draft, there had been talks of creating a women's title on SmackDown Live. GM Daniel Bryan said that he would bring a women's title at some point in the future, and former title contender Becky Lynch wants a championship on the show sppm

Lynch recently spoke with Sports Illustrated's Extra Mustard section and said that she wants a women's title on the show, and also said that she wants to make the women's division a focal point of the show.

“We want a women’s champion on SmackDown,” Lynch said. “I would like to bring that in, but I would like to win the belt that everybody wants [Sasha Banks’ WWE women’s championship]. I want whatever storyline I’m in to be the storyline that people want to watch and care about. I want to make this women’s division worth watching on SmackDown, and make SmackDown the show to watch with enticing stories and entertainment.”

The current SmackDown Live star also spoke on the WrestleMania 32 match she had with Charlotte and Sasha Banks, and how it was the start of a 'women's revolution.'

"This was one of the biggest women’s matches in history and we were on the front of AT&T Stadium, and we got a lot of press behind us coming out of the ‘Diva’s Revolution,’ which turned into the ‘Women’s Revolution’ at WrestleMania," Lynch said. "For me, it’s never been about a revolution."
