Bellator 190 & UFC Fight Night Fresno Ratings Are In

This past weekend, MMA fans were treated to a pair of big events in Bellator 190 and UFC Fight Night Fresno.

Both events aired on Saturday Night, kicking off with Bellator 190, which aired via tape delay on Spike TV and was headlined by middleweight champion Rafael Carvalho defeating UFC veteran Alessio Sakara. That show drew a total of 394,000 viewers, making it the least watched Bellator MMA event to ever air on Spike TV.

UFC Fight Night Fresno did a far better jump in the ratings, drawing a total of 870,000 viewers to the six fight main card headlined by Brian Ortega defeating Cub Swanson. The event also streamed live on Fox Sports Go and Fox Now, bringing in another 11,409 viewers for the card. It was the opening fight on the main card between Benito Lopez and Albert Morales which drew the most viewers, with a total of 1,037,000 people checking out the bout.

A four fight preliminary card also aired live on FS1, with Alexis Davis and Liz Carmouche in the featured spot, which drew a total of 707,000 viewers. The Davis versus Carmouche bout also drew the highest amount of viewers on the preliminary card, with 826,000 viewers checking out the women’s bout.

The pre-fight show that aired on FS1 drew 191,000 viewers and the post-fight show that also aired on FS1 drew 315,000 viewers.

Up next for both promotion is Bellator 191 on Spike TV this Friday Night, which is headlined by UFC veteran Michael McDonald facing Peter Ligier. While the UFC is present UFC On Fox 26 the following day, with the main card airing on Fox and the preliminary card airing on FS1.
