Bellator MMA Veteran Signs With Fight Nights Global

Bellator MMA veteran Dave Jansen has signed a multi-fight deal with the Russia-based Fight Nights Global promoton, the fighter is expected to debut sometime this summer.

Jansen is going to enter the promotion with a 20-4-0 record, which includes a total of seven wins under the Bellator MMA banner.

The fighter did win the Bellator MMA Lightweight Tournament in season seven, but lost a subsequent title fight to then champion Will Brooks at Bellator 136 in April 2015.

During his 24 fight professional MMA career, the newly signed fighter earned notable wins over Yui Chul Nam, Ricardo Tirloni, Rick Hawn and Marcin Held. Jansen hasn’t competed in over a year, as his last bout was a decision loss in a rematch against Marcin Held at Bellator 155 in May 2016.

Prior to coming to Bellator MMA, the lightweight fighter also fought three times in the UFC owned World Extreme Cagefighting promotion. In the WEC, the fighter defeated Rich Crunkilton, but suffered defeats to Kamal Shalorus and Ricardo Lamas.
