Bethe Correia Wants To Beat Up Granny

MMA

Bethe Correia will be seeking her second straight win in a few weeks at UFC Fight Night 106, where she takes on Marion Reneau. Correia, who refers to Reneau as 'a grandma,' wants to put her back in her place

"I have evolved a lot as an athlete,” she said to MMA Fighting. "My focus is not just winning now, I want to add things to my résumé. I want to add a ‘Performance of the Night’ bonus to my résumé. I’m going there to destroy her. She asked for it, now she has to deal with it. This granny got herself in trouble. She should have stayed in her nursing home."

Correia says she is evolving as an athlete, something she plans to display against Reneau.

"I’m always studying my opponents, watching their fights. But when I focused on my opponents instead of me, I lost,” Correia said. "The fights I won were the ones where I focused on evolving as an athlete. I won’t make the same mistake again. I’ll worry about me, see what I’m doing wrong and where I need to get better. When I train that way, I can do whatever I want."

UFC Fight Night 106 takes place on Saturday, March 11 from the Centro de Formacao Olimpica do Nordeste in Fortaleza, Brazil with Kelvin Gastelum and Vitor Belfort headlining, the main card airs live on Fox Sports 1.
