Current UFC Stars that Could Make it Big in the WWE

It wouldn’t be the first time that we witness a crossover between UFC and WWE. At the end of the day the likes of Brock Lesnar has made a name for himself in both companies. It can be done, and the payday could be the reason to motivate some of the current UFC stars to change their occupation. Yet, in addition to appearance, a few other traits are necessary to become one of the greats in WWE, and being strong on the microphone is one of them. Having that in mind, here is a list of UFC stars that could easily transition to WWE.

Tom Aspinall

The reigning heavyweight champion is not having it easy in the UFC. He is currently the title holder, but with Jon Jones retiring he is left without a proper challenger. The state of the UFC heavyweight division is not good, and it is hard to find a decent challenger for Tom these days. While he is earning plenty from his UFC contract and sponsorship deals with Champion sports brand and from promoting crash game Aviator, Aspinall might start looking for a new way to make his leaving and increase his global appeal. His appearance would be menacing in the WWE, and he is no slouch on the mic either. If he’s up for it, WWE could be a great move in Tom’s career if you ask us.

Conor McGregor

While the Irishman is de facto retired, the official announcement never came from his camp. From time to time he is teasing a possible return with the latest being a rumoured UFC White House event where he tried to promote a bout between himself and Michael Chandler. With the lifestyle McGregor has been living the last few years we can’t see him being successful inside of the octagon ever again. Yet, a detour to WWE could be on the cards. After all, the Notorious has one of the best gimmicks ever, and his accent and demeanour would be a top draw in the WWE. He wouldn’t even have to enter the ring, not that we doubt he would be one of the best performers to ever grace the company.

Ilia Topuria

Topuria is the hottest name in the UFC at the moment. The double champ is knocking people left and right, and KO prowess is unparalleled. Ilia is a top draw in the UFC and he is not lacking challengers. We are far from seeing the last of Topuria in the UFC, but with everything he has been showing while promoting his recent fights, it is easy to see why he would be an instant success in the WWE. Not only is he a menace in the octagon, he’s been making rounds on the mic, being confident, and delivering when it matters. Topuria is one of those fighters who knows how to say things and back them in the octagon. His presence in the WWE would be a top draw if even rumoured. We’re far removed from that scenario in reality, but if it ever comes to that, WWE would accept Topuria with open arms.

Paddy Pimblett

The Scouser has made a name for himself in the UFC by being loud on the mic, always aiming to deliver a message to both his fans and his opponents. While often attempting to be funny with his Liverpool accent, Pimblett has been one of the best fighters of his division for years now. He is one of the fighters in the mix to fight Ilia Topuria next, and if that bout is scheduled by Dana White, we can expect for an legendary exchange on the mic between Paddy and Ilia. Pimblett has all the traits that WWE is looking for when drafting their performers, and if he’s ever for it, we can see Paddy becoming one of the leading stars in the World Wrestling Entertainment.

Diaz Brothers

A duo that would make WWE fans salivate. Nick and Nate are both retired from the UFC while only Nick has made it official. The showdown between Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz was one of the biggest spectacles the UFC has presented its fans with in recent memory. If WWE had an opportunity to get the Diaz brothers to compete in their caravan, we are sure we’d receive the company’s top draw spectacle from the get go. Nate would be the loud one, while Nick would be the silent one. A tag team duo that would make the WWE even bigger than it is right now. Not to mention that these two lads would be open to call out their former rivals from the UFC making the crossover between the two companies even a bigger possibility for at least one fighter from this list, and we all know we’re talking about you, Conor McGregor.
