Gervonta Davis says that he plans to retire after his upcoming Jake Paul fight.

On November 14th, Davis is scheduled to take on Jake Paul in an exhibition bout at the Kaseya Center in Miami, Florida, with the event set to stream live on Netflix. Davis is currently the WBA lightweight champion, but his status as champion has been up in the air due to the booking of his exhibition bout with Paul. Now, Davis has indicated that this will be his final boxing bout.

Now, in a new set of social media posts before Davis deleted his social media pages, Davis stated that ‘boxing is dead’ and claimed that he would be retiring following his exhibition bout with Paul on November 14th.

Davis currently has a record of 31 fights with 30 wins and one draw. The bout between Davis and Paul was originally scheduled for Atlanta, Georgia, but was moved due to the Georgia State Athletic Commission emphatically rejected the idea of the potential bout.

For more details on how the bout originally came about, you can read more about that here.

In March of this year, Davis would face off with Lamont Roach Jr. You can read the full results from that card here.
