Michael Mizanin is Leading the Revival of Gladiators

WWE star The Miz has been announced as the lead for the new Gladiators cast. It’s going to launch on Amazon Prime first, with the rollout starting with three episodes, which land in April. The second batch of episodes is going to drop on the 24th of April, and the final four are going to be released on the 1st of May.

Mike Mizanin is a Man of Many Talents

Even though Mike Mizanin is known for his eccentric persona in the ring, he’s also known for a lot of other things. The Miz is an avid golfer and has been since a young age. He has his own Miz Golf YouTube channel and plays against celebrities.

Right now, golf content is surging on YouTube, it’s no surprise he’s explored this as a way to create new content. Netflix’s Full Swing has also helped to put the spotlight on golf, and the PGA Tour is also focusing on Instagram more as a channel to raise golf’s popularity.

In iGaming, Sky Vegas instant wins games also cover golf. Prize Put LuckyTap puts a spotlight on golf and the trophies you can win from serious competitions, helping to showcase golf to whole new audiences while embracing the classic slot format that people are familiar with.

As golf is growing in popularity, it makes perfect sense for The Miz to explore it as an avenue to create content, and when you consider his work on Miz & Mrs, a reality show that ran for three seasons, it’s clear to see he’s been very busy as of late.

Even though the star has a hectic schedule, he’s still managed to find time to film the new Gladiators TV show. Interestingly, the show is going to feature several other wrestling personalities as part of the roster.

Which Wrestling Stars are Going to be on the New Gladiators TV Show?

Right now, we know that the show is going to showcase several personalities. We know that AEW’s Wardlow and Kamille are going to be taking part, and Rick Boogs, J Rod Jessica Roden and Jessie Godderz are also going to be taking part.

Even though the show launched in the 1980s, bringing it back under Amazon’s platform should help to give the show a whole new layer of competition, and by using wrestling stars for intense physical contests, it’s going to be an interesting watch for fans. We are going to see classic events like Hang Tough, Joust, and Powerball return, along with The Wall. There’s going to be one male and one female winner, and the person who comes in first is going to walk away with $100,000.

The Miz is set to host the event, but he won’t be alone. Rosci Diaz is going to be co-hosting, and the series is produced by MGM Studios. Even though it’s going to be released in stages, fans won’t have to hold out for single episodic releases, as the staggered drops are going to be done multiple episodes at a time to help engagement.
