The WBC has released its first rankings of 2019 and there are some noteworthy changes.

From Billy Joe Saunders entering the middleweight rankings to Raymundo Beltran entering the junior welterweight rankings, plenty of boxers saw changes to their rankings.

Below are some of the most notable changes in this month's WBC rankings in every weight class:

Heavyweight:

  • Tyson Fury: Rises from No. 3 to No. 2
  • Luis Ortiz: Drops from No. 2 to No. 3
  • Tony Yoka: Enters at No. 11
  • Hughie Fury: Drops out of the rankings
  • Oscar Rivas: Drops out of the rankings

Cruiserweight:

  • Murat Gassiev: Rises from No. 3 to No. 1
  • Yury Kashinsky: Rises from No. 13 to No. 9
  • Andrzej Fonfara: Enters at No. 6
  • Kevin Lerena: Drops out of the rankings
