Josh Warrington Stops Sofiane Takoucht To Retain IBF Featherweight Title, Undercard Results

Josh Warrington had no problem successfully defending his IBF featherweight world title.

Returning to his hometown of Leeds, England, Warrington dominated Takoucht, dropping him twice en route to a second-round stoppage to retain his title. Warrington scored two knockdowns in the second round thanks to big right hands from the Brit and when Takoucht recovered from the second knockdown, Warrington unleashed a flurry of shots that forced the referee to step in and stop the fight.

This was Warrington's third world title defense since winning the belt from Lee Selby all the way back in May 2018. After the fight, Warrington said he would want to face some of the top featherweights in the world, but took time to talk about WBA "Regular" titleholder Can Xu, who is scheduled to defend his title against Manny Robles III on November 23.

Below are the full results and highlights of the card.
