Former Elite XC and Strikeforce fighter Brett Rogers has accepted a plea deal from the Ramsey County (Minnesota) authorities in relation to a trio of sexual misconduct cases against him.
Fightful reported back in January that Rogers was arrested by Ramsey County authorities for three charges of sexual misconduct, with one of those three acts coming when Rogers was already in prison.
According to the Pioneer Press, the former fighter accepted what is known as an Alford plea, which means that while a plea deal is accepted, an admittance of guilt is not necessary.
Rogers is not going to be serving any additional jail time for his criminal acts, but he must undergo a psychosexual evaluation from the state as a part of his plea deal.
Family Counselor Services states that a psychosexual evaluation is something that “focuses on an individual’s sexual development, sexual history, paraphilic interests, sexual adjustments and recidivism risk level.”
If Rogers is found at risk to commit similar sexual misconduct crimes, the former fighter may have to register as a sex offender and/or stay at a medical care facility.
The former heavyweight contender hasn’t competed in well over two years, as his last bout was a unanimous decision loss to Derrick Mehmen at Abu Dhabi Warriors 2.
