Bubba Ray Dudley Reveals Who Helped Him After Being Trained Poorly

Bubba Ray Dudley wasn't trained by former ECW Champion Taz, but he credits the "Human Suplex Machine" with helping him immensely with his career.

On the "Authentic, Untold Story Of ECW" the former TNA, WCW, WWF, and ECW tag champion Bubba Ray Dudley spoke about how instrumental Taz was in his improvement in the ring. He also bashed a former trainer, who he refused to even name.

Konosuke Takeshita: I'm Craving Your Belt, MOX

"I was trained very poorly as a young wrestler. I won't even mention the guy who trained me so ass-backwards and god-awful. I had wrestled on the northeast independents for about four years or five years before I got my opportunity in ECW. Hanging around Taz and Perry (Saturn) in the dojo. Getting to listen to Paul and (Tommy) Dreamer and the Ravens and Sandmans put things together, that's where I got my education in the wrestling business," said Dudley.

It's worth noting that Dudley, real name Lomanaco, is listed as being trained by Sonny Blaze and Johnny Rodz. Despite the fact that he'd been working on the independent scene for several years, Dudley admitted that he picked up several intricacies from Taz at the House of Hardcore.

"Watching him train students, where you should have your hands and feet, and how you should take a move like this, and why you do what you do -- that's where I learned from. He didn't train me directly, but I learned a lot from watching him," said Dudley.
