Charlotte Flair Hopes End Of Her Pay-Per-View Winning Streak Will Benefit Bayley

Charlotte Flair says she wasn't significantly invested in her pay-per-view winning streak.

At WWE Fastlane, Flair lost her first ever pay-per-view singles match. The streak started at WWE Battleground on July 19, 2015. During that time, she held the championship four times, only losing the title on Raw, each time winning the rematch on pay-per-view. Her winning streak came to an end at the hands of Bayley on March 5. In an interview with Jim Norton and Sam Roberts, Flair talked about the winning streak and her mindset when it finally ended.

“Well when I started people started being like ‘you have a pay-per-view streak going on’, I’m like 'what?". I was 16-0 which was weird, cause, I was 16-0 then Cena won the 16 time (world championship). I don’t think they put anything, there was no thought put into that. I kept racking up numbers I’m like 'well you have a pay-per-view streak' so because I didn’t really think about it. it was more of a statistic than a story. When it happened, I just hope the equity of that went to Bayley," said Flair.

She will compete in a championship match at Wrestlemania 33 on April 2nd. The match will be a fatal four-way with the champion Bayley, Sasha Banks, and Nia Jax. In the rest of the interview, Flair discussed the rapid progression of her career, Ronda Rousey, and growing up as a Flair.
