Chris Jericho's May Schedule Doesn't Leave Much Room For Wrestling

Chris Jericho became WWE United States Champion for the second time at this weekend's WWE Payback show, but his schedule doesn't leave much room for WWE.

Jericho defeated longtime friend-turned-foe Kevin Owens at Payback, and is officially a part of the WWE Smackdown roster. However, after tomorrow's Smackdown, Jericho won't be available to wrestle on TV until the end of the month.

Y2J will be touring with Fozzy on May 16, 19, 21, and 23, which cover three episodes of Smackdown Live and Backlash. His next date off after this week that he'd be available is May 30. Smackdown Live will be in the UK the next two weeks, while Jericho will be in the U.S. May 23, Smackdown is in Toledo, while Jericho is in Flint, Michigan, just under two hours away. Jericho is also free June 6, before heading over to the UK himself for a tour.

AJ Styles is the current number one contender to the United States title, a former rival Jericho's. Kevin Owens is also owed a rematch -- apparently. WWE has been pretty relaxed on giving championship rematches, as Owens, Goldberg, and Bray Wyatt all have gone without them
