CM Punk Made A Lot Of Money For UFC 203

MMA

As expected, Punk cashed in big at UFC 203.

According to the Ohio Athletic Commission, CM Punk earned a flat fee of $500,000 for his two minute loss to Mickey Gall Saturday Night at UFC 203.

Punk would not have earned a win bonus, which is often done when a fighter earns a cut of pay-per-view revenue. Fighters can earn a specific amount per pay-per-view sold, over a certain number (for example $1 for every PPV over 250,00 sold). Punk and Gall both didn't earn any 'Performance of the Night' bonuses, which would have added $50,000.

It's being reported that CM Punk earned the minimum Reebok payout of $2,500 for his fight, but that isn't necessarily the case. Fighters are able to negotiate up if they land separate deals with Reebok. Considering the buzz surrounding Punk's debut, it's possible he could have done that as well.
