Cody Replaces ROH Championship With The "Ring" Of Honor

Well, we always say wrestling is evolving. Cody Rhodes is making an effort to evolve championships as well.

The current Ring of Honor World Champion, Rhodes has teased officially replacing the championship belt with an actual ring. According to him, he's made that official.

Cody Rhodes made the announcement via his Twitter account Tuesday afternoon.

The ring features the ROH logo, with "World Champion" bordering presumed diamonds. The sides have "C" and "R," for his initials -- which ironically he doesn't actually use in Ring Of Honor as "Cody Rhodes" is owned by WWE.

Rhodes is making an effort to get people to "kiss the ring," which will make Ring of Honor's September 22 Death Before Dishonor pay-per-view worth watching itself as he takes on NEVER Openweight Champion Minoru Suzuki. Getting Suzuki to kiss the ring would probably be a bigger achievement than actually winning the Championship in the first place.

ROH's Death Before Dishonor takes place September 22 from Las Vegas, NV. Fightful.com will have full, live coverage of the show.
