UFC Lightweight Champion Conor McGregor made his professional boxing debut last month at The Money Fight, suffering a tenth round TKO loss to Floyd Mayweather.
This past Saturday Night, WBC/WBA/IBF Middleweight Champion Gennady Golovkin and Canelo Alvarez fought to a split draw.
A lot of controversy surrounded judge Adelaide Byrd, who scored the bout 118-110 in favor of Alvarez, while Don Trella scored the bout 114-114 for a draw and Dave Moretti scored the bout 115-113 for Golovkin.
Controversy and all, the UFC Lightweight Champion and one time boxer in McGregor voiced his opinion on the controversy when he tweeted the following about the highly anticipated fight.

Unlike the McGregor versus Mayweather fight, a rematch is expected to take place between Golovkin and Alvarez, but no official announcement is expected for a while.
There was a lot of heat between The Money Fight and the GGG/Alvarez fight, mainly with promoter and boxing legend Oscar De La Hoya mocking The Money Fight at every turn. Even saying at one point that real boxing fans would only watch the fight he’s promoting over The Money Fight.
McGregor may return to the boxing right down the line, but the Irish MMA star is expected to make his next appearance in the UFC.
