The California State Athletic Commission (CSAC) unanimously passed a new 10 point weight cutting plan, which takes effect on June 15.

Here are the basics of the CSAC’s 10 point plan:
CSAC Executive Officer Andy Foster had to say the following about the new weight cutting measures to MMA Fighting.
“The stakeholders were involved in this process,” Foster said. “I can say unequivocally that the promoters see this as a problem also. This is not just one-sided. This is a problem for them, this is a problem for the entire industry.”
UFC 214 is going to be the first major MMA promotion to run an event under the new weigh-in rule set, that event takes place on July 29.
