D-Von Dudley Has New Backstage Job In WWE

About a month after the Dudleys made their farewell on WWE television, D-Von Dudley has returned to the company in a behind-the-scenes role.

D-Von started in his new position at Clash of the Champions and will be on the road for WWE henceforth.

D-Von posted a picture of himself on Twitter from Raw last night:

D-Von made his debut in wrestling in 1991 and began teaming with Bubba as the Dudley Boyz in ECW. The Dudleys went on to become arguably the most successful tag team in modern professional wrestling. They are the only duo to win the WWE, WCW, ECW, NWA, TNA and IWGP tag team titles.

They spent the entirety of their first stint in WWE teaming together, aside from a stint of about 10 months split up by the initial brand split, where D-Von adopted a "Reverend D-Von" persona that was most significant for introducing Batista to the main roster of WWE as D-Von's deacon.

After a 10-year hiatus from WWE, the Dudleys made their return last August on Raw the night after Summerslam and immediately began challenging the Primetime Players for the WWE titles. They bid farewell to WWE on the Aug. 22 episode of Raw after their one-year contract had expired. The two sides reportedly had been discussing an extension but then made the decision to part ways.

Bubba and D-Von are expected to continue running their 3D Wrestling Academy, which is located in Kissimmee, Fla.

As for Bubba Dudley, he is still taking independent wrestling dates.
